CD meets Tuff challenge

Engineering company All Tuff needed to present the unlimited uses that their innovative pipe fitting system offered. They had an old Powerpoint presentation. We gave them a new CD with the wow-factor they needed.
We started from the old 57 page Powerpoint file and quickly understood that the majority of slides were photos of applications or features of the pipe fitting system. Getting across the versatility of the system was critical.
All Tuff had hundreds of photos that could be presented: we narrowed the list down to the 180 best and presented them in a gallery that had cool mouse-over spring zoom effects. Each image also had a short description that was displayed when the image expanded for better viewing.
Clicking on the thumbnail image showed a full size image that also had 5 key selling points with the most important key points for the image highlighted. These big images can be quickly scrolled through, reinforcing the key points each time and also presenting a new caption heading.
It was a huge task, but Jim Fawkes, All Tuff manager, took it all in his stride, creating the dataset for the 180 images. This took care of the majority of the old presentation.
We took the actual information out of the Powerpoint and created a set of 11 slides that was quick, informative and good value to read.
The final CD also included a Technical Manual in PDF format and the CD label had screen grabs from the gallery.
The whole thing is XML driven, so the All Tuff guys can tweak the presentation, order of images, text, and add or remove images without having to come back to us!
